Since 2004, Brady has been leading Vortex's sales and marketing efforts and has acted as the company's chief evangelist for all things mobile marketing. His expertise lies in leveraging mobile applications to create compelling brand experiences that encourage dialogue between brands and consumers.
Brady graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Information Systems and Finance from McGill University. Prior to founding Vortex, Brady worked in promotions where he gained valuable insight into media, sponsorship, word of mouth & viral marketing, CRM, and direct marketing. Among his most recent accomplishments, Brady was recognized by Marketing Magazine as Ones to Watch (Marketing professionals 30 or younger).
Brady is an accomplished speaker and works diligently with the IAB and the CMA to raise awareness of the features, benefits and vision of the Mobile Marketing industry. When he’s not working Brady has been known to hack up golf courses and still tries to re-live an overstated sense of basketball glory.
As a co-founder of Vortex, Adrian managed product strategy and operations as the company grew in scope and reach. In February 2009, Adrian led the spin-off of the enterprise software division, Vortex Connect (www.vortexconnect.com) which he currently manages as President and CEO.
Prior to founding Vortex, Adrian was a Manager in New Product Development at Rogers Wireless, Canada’s largest mobile phone provider. In this role, Adrian owned the SMS and Mobile Content portfolios, counting among his accomplishments the launch of North America’s first Mobile Music service.
At Vortex Mobile, Adrian earned the honour of Marketing Magazine’s Ones to Watch in 2007 while also holding the Interactive Advertising Bureau’s Emerging Platforms chair with speaking engagements at the IAB MIXX Conference in 2009, at Open Dialogue’s 2nd Annual Social Media Marketing Conference, at the IABC The Customer is Shouting! Are you listening? Conference. Adrian also gives back to the community as an invited lecturer at the University of Toronto and Humber College.
Adrian holds a Masters of Applied Science from the University of Toronto and Bachelor’s of Engineering from Queens University.
Timothy Quinn is a senior technology leader with over ten years of hands-on experience in the interactive media sector. Prior to joining Vortex as VP, Production, Tim was Director of Site Operations with Torstar, where he had operational responsibility for flagship properties within the Star Media Group such as thestar.com (62.3MM page views) and toronto.com (4.5MM page views). In 2004, Tim joined interactive marketing firm Trapeze as Director of Production and helped grow the company into a leading digital agency.
Tim possesses a strong portfolio of project management and technical implementation aptitudes with a particular emphasis on enterprise-scale application development and project management process re-engineering. He is also an accomplished author and instructor who has taught at both the City University of New York and New York University.
Joanne leads Vortex Mobile’s Client Service/Account team, providing strategic direction for clients’ mobile and social campaigns and overseeing delivery of programs.
Joanne, a highly-respected, veteran marketing professional has over 20 years of experience in the packaged-goods sector, including 10 years at Coca-Cola Canada. While at Coke, Joanne was responsible for developing the strategic vision and direction for the hugely successful iCoke.ca website and loyalty program, while also acting as the Canadian lead for the Coca-Cola Global eMarketing community.
After 10 Years, Joanne decided to expand her exposure to interactive marketing with a move to the Interactive Advertising Bureau of Canada where she spearheaded numerous initiatives supporting the agencies, publishers and advertisers in the online marketing industry.
Joanne continues her relationship with the IAB as an active member of the Mobile/Emerging Platforms Council.
When Joanne isn’t playing Wii or testing mobile applications, she is outside Skiing or Biking with her family (even then she is sharing her fun through Facebook mobile).
Paul completed his MBA at the University of Toronto in Business Design the spring of 2007, just as Facebook launched the F8 platform. He began a start-up that focused on developing social media marketing solutions for brands that could take advantage of that revolutionary open API. Anticipating the eventual convergence of social and mobile, Vortex brought Paul on board to lead their social media practice. He has since led learning sessions with brands like 3M, Microsoft, and Holt Renfrew as well as major agencies like DDB and Grey.
When Paul isn’t working he can be found playing numerous musical instruments. Before his MBA days Paul lived in NYC and was a professional musician.
Russell is an early adopter of technology who decided long ago that he did not need a cable-TV subscription: he consumes his media at home through a fast internet connection. Russell graduated from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto. He joined Vortex in March 2006 and is a member of Vortex Mobile's Board of Advisers. He leads the development of the company's product roadmap, seeking to leverage web and mobile technologies to deliver business value in the context of an ever-changing mobile and social landscape.
